According to new data from researchers at Stanford reported in The New York Times, the socioeconomic status of students does not directly impact student growth and standardized tests do no accurately reflect the richness of the curriculum.

Within this research, the Washington Elementary School District was listed as one of the Top 20 school districts in the country for growth over five years among students third through eighth grade when compared to 200 other districts in the nation.

The Washington Elementary School District is proud to be one of the Top 20 in the country and we are grateful for our dedicated teachers and support staff.
