11:00-11:50| Break-out Session: Panels of teachers, administrators, businesses, nonprofits and community members share WHY each goal is so critical to expand educational opportunity and excellence in Arizona, and HOW they did it.
Breakouts include:
Early Literacy- “How might we use intervention and prevention strategies through community efforts to address this issue?”
STEM Readiness – “How can we bring awareness & relevance to math/STEM? How can math/STEM make the connection to the real world and greater educational opportunity in the future?”
High School Graduation – “How might we help build a community of support that allows students to see themselves past high school and what the roles look like and experience them? How might we help address attendance issues like bullying, mental health, support structures and more so students have an opportunity to be successful in high school?
Navigating Post-Secondary Systems.- “How might we help students navigate complex post-secondary systems as a community?”

1:00-1:45 | Design Thinking: Setting the Stage
1:45-1:55 | Transition
1:55-4:30 | Tackling Education Challenges as a Community: Engage in a Collaborative Design Thinking Challenge where you’ll join a diverse, small group (business, non-profit, educators, and more) to brainstorm a solution to a relevant problem. Small groups will come together, led by an experienced facilitator to ensure all voices are heard. Then, using a prototype design, we’ll pitch ideas and decide which to keep moving forward. Groups will have the opportunity to further connect and enact their designs with the potential of attracting additional support following the conference.
